Don’t waste your quarantine

David, one of our members, has been in self-isolation for a couple of weeks, recovering from suspected COVID-19. Here’s some things he’s learned…

Don’t Waste Your Quarantine

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. – Ephesians 5:15-17

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. – Proverbs 3:5

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” – Psalm 46:10

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33

Let’s give ourselves and each other lots and lots of grace. Nothing like this has ever happened. That means there are no experts. We’re all working it out in our own way. We need each other and the help of our Lord Jesus now more than ever before!
